TIME LINE:

At this time our schedule allows for three repairs a month. We book out these slots 3-4 months prior.

In order to hold a spot for repair, we require a $100 deposit which can be paid through the estimate link we will send you once we square away a drop off date. Once Chloe takes a look at your sign, we will give you the specific cost for repair and adjust the estimate as needed. If you chose not to proceed with the repair, you will be refunded the $100 deposit. If you do proceed with the repair, the $100 will be applied to the cost of the repair.

PRICING:

Power supply swap: $200 (If nothing looks broken but your sign isn't turning on? Could be a failed power supply.)

Neon Glass Work (Signs that are broken or no longer have a charge): Minimum $500

MERCURY REPAIR POLICY:

Neon tubes are most commonly filled with one of two gases. The first being, neon. You'll often find neon in your red/orange/pink tubes. If there is only neon in the tube then it is repairable. On the other hand, the other commonly used gas is argon. In this scenario a small amount of mercury is add to the tube to brighten the appearance of the gas. If Chloe was to repair a tube that once had mercury in it, she would be heating up glass that's interior wall had been coated in vaporized mercury, during the process a hose runs from the end of the tube directly into here mouth. Chloe plans to practice this craft for many years and in efforts to be able to do that, she has decided not to do any mercury tube repairs.

So what does that mean for you? 

Uptown Neon can still get your sign working and looking pretty again, it just means that Chloe will have to remake the unit in question.

PLEASE NOTE:

The minimum charge of a service call is $250. This would be if the only issue is that the transformer (power supply) needs to be replaced and it is easily accessible.

Transformer (power supply): $150

 

We will fully diagnose the problem once we are on site. If it is not the transformer and is glass, you will be charged the $100 Service Call Fee and given an estimate for the repair, all glass repairs are a minimum of $500.
